I've been learning too much about my hobby. [Jul. 10th, 2009|11:48 am]
John
From "overheard in the office"...

Boss from other room: The most expensive coffee in the world, and...
Database monkey, yelling: Is that the kind that's shat out by monkeys?
Boss: No, leopards!

And I read that, and say to myself "It's *CIVETS*."

And then, take a long pause and realize, oh, crap, I *know* that.

Yep. Had the same thought. I always introduce my Jamaican Blue Mountain as "the most expensive coffee that HASN'T been through the digestive tract of an animal".

I both knew that and have tried kopi luwak. It will never displace my beloved African coffees, especially at those prices, but it had appeal.

Don't feel down. It was mentioned on Food Network.
