John
My friend, lblanchard feels I need a userpic. She's right. And she very generously provided a userpic, and ... well. I had to decide.

I need something serious. Something masculine. Something powerful.

I think I have it. I'll use it in the first comment to this post.

What do you think?

Just in case it's not clear, that's me on top of the cat. No, there's nothing symbolic about this picture, like I was pretending to *be* the cat.

And, no, I'm not wearing spurs. Masculine is one thing, but there's nothing masculine about animal cruelty. Kittens don't deal well with spurs. (I dunno about horses, but definitely not kittens.)

Re: What do you think?

Okay, good. You don't think it's too... you know, phony?

Because I have to admit... I borrowed the hat.

Re: What do you think?

No, it's very elegant, and although I don't know you very well, I think it's definitely you. :)

Re: What do you think?

Should I ask what you're doing to that kitty? Or is that white-ish, tail-like tuft in front of you something you're holding, rather than the kitty's tail?

..No, wait. Another close look suggests it's a raised arm, and it's the light on the white shirt that makes it look like something tail-like in front of you.

Either way, it's suggestively ambiguous. Or sumfink. :-)

Re: What do you think?

Right. One arm in the air; you wouldn't want me to look like a wimp, needing two hands to hold on while riding a *tame* kitten, would you?

Re: What do you think?

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I know where that kitten's been.

Re: What do you think?

So I save a kitten from some evil beasties claiming to want to kill it over mastubation, and you think there's something *wrong* with that?

Re: What do you think?

*grin* Did I say there was something wrong with it?

The scary thing is, the icon is growing on me. Ride 'em, catboy!

That's precisely why I adore that icon. Context is everything!

Re: What do you think?

Actually, kittens like spurs very much, because they jingle and sparkle and have moving bits that kittens can play with...

(Yes, I do know this from empirical observation.)

Re: What do you think?

I think it's great. I wouldn't have presumed to offer up anything other than a Photoshopped head-shot, but I really don't care what you use as long as you use it regularly so that I can see at a glance it's a posting from you.

Now I need to go spur on my friend purchas to do likewise.

Re: What do you think?

Yes, but you do win (twice) on cuteness awards, both with the kitten napping in the pumpkin, and the "got milk" from today.

(I think it's cute... but only because no one's put any mustard on the dog.)

Nice! I suggest you mske the kitty and you larger and trim out more of the backdrop. these 100 pixel icons lose resolution fast.
