They're right... [May. 6th, 2004|07:52 pm]
The defenders of the abusers in the military prisons are right... a lot of it is like the kind of things that happen in fraternity hazing.

And rape is like sexual intercourse.

Now, is there *another* stupid comparison that some ass-kissing moron wants to make? I could use another opportunity to scorn what passes for thought by people who try to excuse the inexcusable.

"And rape is like sexual intercourse."

Now that I'm done choking on my iced tea... That was the second 'funny uh-oh' post related to this topic I've seen today.

I have to agree with you John. Unless there is some aspect of Fraternity hazing that I'm not aware of where they grab random people of the street, hold them in the frat house for a long time, then force them to participate in hazing rituals that are horrifically offensive to their culture, with the promise that no matter what, the won't get into the fraternity.

Or maybe I'm just cranky toninght...

The fact that these dickwads suggest that because it's "like" fraternity hazing, it's somehow OK, says quite a bit about them and their world view.

Perhaps they've forgotten that these days, a lot of universities are cracking down on hazing because people have been dying from it. Never mind the fact that the wannabe fratboys voluntarily put themselves in the situation that results in the hazing.

Unlike, say, the inmates of Abu Ghraib.
